SUGARCREEK, OH (March 1, 2007) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have named Precision Entry, Inc. as a ENERGY STAR 2007 Partner of the Year in Door manufacturing for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing and educating consumers about energy-efficient products. Precision’s accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 21, 2007.
Precision, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2002, will be honored for its leadership in producing doors that earn the ENERGY STAR, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. Precision has taken the innovative step of manufacturing ALL of their entry door systems as ENERGY STAR qualified.
Last year alone, Americans with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved $14 billion on their energy bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of more than 25 million vehicles.
"Every year the demand grows for ENERGY STAR products." said Bill Mullet, Precision’s President & CEO, at a recent company-wide employee enrichment event. "This is our second consecutive year of earning this prestigious award, and we will continue to work hard to design, manufacture and promote ENERGY STAR products that benefit homeowners."
The 2007 Partner of the Year Awards are given to manufacturers and retailers that successfully promote and deliver ENERGY STAR qualified products, saving consumers money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Award winners are selected from thousands of organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program each year.
"Partners like Precision Entry are national leaders in energy efficiency," said Alexander Karsner, Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the Department of Energy. "The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award winners are leaders in adopting energy efficient technologies for their products and practices.
