Sugarcreek, OH [March 3, 2009] – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded ProVia Door a 2009 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award in door manufacturing in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting our environment through energy efficiency. ProVia Door's accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 31, 2009.

ProVia Door, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2002, will be honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency by producing doors that earn the ENERGY STAR. This is the fourth consecutive year for the company to earn an ENERGY STAR award.

Across the U.S., top companies and organizations are continuing to promote energy efficiency through participation in ENERGY STAR. Last year alone, Americans with the help of ENERGY STAR saved $19 billion on their energy bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of 29 million vehicles.

The 2009 Sustained Excellence Awards are given to a select group of organizations that have exhibited outstanding leadership year after year. ProVia Door is honored to be the only organization to earn this prestigious award in the category of Door Manufacturing. Award winners have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by setting and achieving aggressive goals, employing innovative approaches, and showing others what can be achieved through energy efficiency.
