Vinyl Product Care

  1. To clean, wash with mild soap, such as Fantastic® and water. Heavy dirt and stains require stronger cleaning compounds such as vinyl siding cleaner. The surface can be wiped down with solvents such as turpentine, naphtha, nail polish remover (acetone), paint thinner and alcohol. Take care as some cleaners may mar or scratch vinyl.
  2. Abrasive cleaners will scratch the surface and are not recommended.
  3. To protect finish, spray with vinyl protector such as Armor-All®.
  4. Clean out the interlocks on double hung windows after exposure to dust.
  5. Wipe heavy dust off balance rods on double hung windows. WD–40® should not be used to lubricate balances.
  6. Adjusting the balances on double hung windows requires special tools. Contact your dealer if the balances require adjustment.
