Engineering
We use in-house as well as 3rd party testing so assure our products are professional-class. All our doors have been tested and certified to NFRC 100 and NFRC 200 guidelines.
Positive Pressure Testing
In most fires, the extreme heat can cause drafts such that there are certain amounts of air pressure pushing against a door. In the past, fire codes required only neutral (negative) fire test. In this test there was no pressure of the door. This makes it easier to pass the test but did not replicate true fire conditions. Today, almost all building codes require fire doors to have a positive pressure rating. Positive pressure testing is conducted in an environment that best replicates those conditions that are present during a real-world fire scenario.
